Some what famous...


Our wedding photographer, Trung-Montage Photographers, took some amazing photos of us! His work looks like it belongs in a gallery. He has a great eye for things. Anyways to why we are some what "famous".... Trung had submitted some of our images to Brides Houston (Modern Luxury Publication). I was skimming through it and I saw our photo (page 125)! The one you see in my header! I was soo excited to see it there. I wished they would have used some of the other photos, but I will take anything!

Also, our wedding announcement was in the Houston Chronicle Star section, December 3rd's publication.

Man we are getting all sorts of exposure this month of December!

Jett's Vintage Train 3rd Birthday Party!

I was really excited about planning Jett's party because we would throw the party at our new home. So many possibilities!! I always try to brainstorm ideas months prior to the party so I can slowly come up with stuff and create them. I started to think of things that Jett was really into at this part of his life. He loves planes, but we did that for his 1st birthday. He loves tractor, we did that for his 2nd party. Now at almost 3 he loved trains and Superman! So I asked Jett in November, "Jett do you want a choo-choo train party or Superman?" and Jett yells, "CHOO CHOO TRAIN!!" PERFECT!! I was now thinking of things to do and how to decorate for this party. Of course everything has to start with the invitation. I created the invitation myself. Jett's Nursery... Renovation

We started to work on the room slowly, but surely in September. We first had a garage sale to get everything out of the room. It was basically used as a storage room and it was packed from floor to ceiling. Luckily we were able to sell the majority of the items. Thank goodness!! The Garage Sale!! Second was tearing everything out of the room. This was the fun part! Pulled out all the carpet, everything out of the closet (shelving, poles, racks, etc.).  The dogs even wanted to help out! ;-) Third Mike worked on some great solid pieces of furniture (dresser, tv armoire & crib) to refinish. This took a while since it was sooooo time consuming. We wanted black with some antiquing. Mike of course added his awesome creativity to it all with some stencil work and lining the interiors with some awesome mod podge work. It was worth every minute. He did an INCREDIBLE job!
