Our TTD Teasers!!

We finally did our Trash the Dress session! We did it this past Sunday morning in Galveston, TX. It is about 45 minutes from Houston. Not the prettiest beach, but hey it works!

We went to the Sea Wall and found a great spot that we thought were great photo opportunities (jetties, lifeguard stands, under buildings, etc.). We didn't want to drive all over the place. I have to say...I was so proud of myself! I did my own hair and makeup (I really wanted to get it done, but time didn't permit.) It turned out great! Then I maneuver somehow into my wedding dress in the back of our truck! Lots and twist and turns to make that happen by myself. My photographer and husband were amazed when they came back to the truck and I was fully dressed and zipped up!

We had a ton of fun! I always wanted to do a couple TTD session and not just session by myself; nothing wrong with doing the TTD by your self. I just wanted to share this experience with my hubby. Also, I think TTD sessions with your…

Ex Husband TTD!

Yes, you heard right! I found this story posted on my girlfriend's FB. I thought this was really hilarious! An ex-husband trashing his ex's wife's dress. He wouldn't call it TTD, but 101 uses of the wedding dress. His story is on his site. That his ex wife of 12 years packed up her belongings and left behind her dress. He told her she had left it and she did not want it. He could do whatever the BLEEP he wants to do with it. So he did! Ha! He has created a blog to capture all these 101 uses of the dress. Some are crazy hilarious some are just EWWW! Here are some below. Check out his blog to see more pics, videos & detailed posts.

The First Look

When my photographer told me about the First Look. My first thought was..."This man is crazy. I am not breaking tradition. That is so bad luck!" Then of course I changed my mind and I then had to convince Mike that it was the best for our big day!

What exactly is "The First Look"? This is a moment before the wedding ceremony that the bride and groom see each other for the first time in their wedding attire. Traditionally a groom is not suppose to see his bride until she walks down the aisle during the ceremony. However, these days that wedding tradition has been taken to the next level. During "The First Look" not only do you get too see each other before the big day, but gives the couple a few quiet and intimate moments alone before the I do's. With no family, bridal party, friends, etc. Just you and him and the photog :-). This also helps with the anxiety and nerves in my opinion. After the ceremony both the groom and bride are pull all sorts of d…
