Wow...It's been a year!

I am one day late posting this just because we had sooo much fun this weekend on our 1 year anniversary!!!

A year ago (yesterday) I married the most extraordinary man that I have ever met. I never thought the day would come that would married this man. I was lucky enough to have my fairy tale come true meeting the man I have always wanted to marry since I was a little girl. I can not believe it has been a year since we have been married. A lot has happened this past year as a married couple and it has been a great journey so far. A lot of people ask me all the time if it feels any different from when we were just dating. I can honestly say yes! It is alot more fun sharing your life with someone you know that is in it all the way with you when in comes to this journey we call life. Mike and I honestly can say have a great time together!

I can't wait to celebrate many more years with my love.

Below are some of my favorite pictures from our BIG DAY!

He is just so handsome! He wore the cufflinks I had given him years ago!

Our First Look! Best thing to do!

2013 Christmas Card

We've been sending out Christmas cards as a couple for a while now. Each year we try to be creative with them (past Christmas cards: 2009, 2010). Each year it gets harder and harder. We either add another dog or a kid. It's hard to get the dogs wrangled up and to look at the camera. It's even harder with kids! This year I tried to take some pictures of some inspiration I saw on pinterest. Here are some photos I took.

The card that I got through Shutterfly.com. Love them!

This year we've been extremely blessed with our new home, the birth of our second son, and a new great job. More importantly we are blessed to have each other. Merry Christmas everyone!! God Bless!

2013 Mother's Day....DIY photo gift

2013 Mother's Day was extra special this year with what my guys did for me. While I wasn't home Mike got out our camera, tripod, remote for the camera and started to take some beautiful DIY shots. His inspiration was "Jett's Day." From getting ready, napping, & going out. It just captured so many great moments of our little guy.

I love the sentimental gifts that kids make their parents. It is worth millions to me. So when I received my mother's day gift from my guys I heart just fluttered with excitement.

Here are the pics from the mini DIY session .....

Mike wanted to put all these great photos in a frame. He had J paint the matte so it was more personable.

The end result a DIY photo session with a toddler painted matte for Mother's Day. Something I will have and to cherish forever.

Jett's Vintage Train 3rd Birthday Party!

I was really excited about planning Jett's party because we would throw the party at our new home. So many possibilities!! I always try to brainstorm ideas months prior to the party so I can slowly come up with stuff and create them. I started to think of things that Jett was really into at this part of his life.

He loves planes, but we did that for his 1st birthday. He loves tractor, we did that for his 2nd party. Now at almost 3 he loved trains and Superman! So I asked Jett in November, "Jett do you want a choo-choo train party or Superman?" and Jett yells, "CHOO CHOO TRAIN!!" PERFECT!!

I was now thinking of things to do and how to decorate for this party. Of course everything has to start with the invitation. I created the invitation myself. I went with a old style boarding pass.

You can now purchase this invitation, but personalized  at my Etsy store!
I printed these in cardstock and then stuffed them in kraft paper envelope that I purchased at Hobby Lobby …
